Comparing 8speed 5.3L 3.43 trucks...RPM'S

Just curious to the ones with this exact setup. I notice that my tach/RPM gauge seems to run over/flare Not sure what you call it after the shift in all the lower gears? So going from say 2-3 it shifts and the tach goes up or bounces higher like 100,200-300 before falling to lower RPM for that next gear.

 

I think it shifts fine I just don't remember watching a tach spike higer exactly after the shift to the next gear? If anybody could just look at their tach and tell me how it acts that would be awesome! Thanks, just looking for apples to apples comparison..........I already know dip shit dealer will just say it's A OK!

My 6 speed did it until I tuned it, seems to be normal with these newer transmissions GM has

I've noticed this as well, kind of a hang in rpm's when shifting.

Alright Thanks boys good to hear! I would rather hear it from users than dippy do Dealer. I asked about getting my Stereo upgraded for android phones and they said, "Never heard of it" I have 2 free maintenances left and GOD only thing I am going to have them do is rotate the tires and download stereo to handle android phone...........You can't possibly F that up could you?

Oh I bet it's possible.

If they F something up run that ish straight to GM customer service, found here on these forums. Things do tend to straighten out quite a bit once they are involved.
