All Incentives Discounts Rebates Hard to Find

Recommended Posts

When I went shopping for a new truck last time I found it very difficult to find a single source that states or lists all incentives/rebates.

I visited a half dozen dealerships in 3 states.

None of the dealerships advised me of all incentives/discounts/rebates.

Some of the monetary discounts seem not to be common knowledge.

Memory fades but a few come to mind.

USAA $500.00 discount.

AARP $500.00 discount.

Farm Bureau $750.00 discount.

Credit Union $500.00 discount.

Customer Loyalty $1,000.00

None of the dealers knew what Business Choice offered.

There were more that I can't remember.

No one place seemed to state/list all of the available discounts.

Granted, some are regional. Some are time sensitive. Some you can't combine.

The last 3 new GM trucks that I purchased, I had to point out some of these incentives after I did quite a bit of research into finding them. None came from the same source.

First, you make your very best deal for the truck that you want. Either in stock or ordered.

After all of that is agreed upon and you are ready to go to the finance department - to pay cash or get a loan - THEN you state what other incentives are valid. And then that amount is deducted from the sale price. Whether purchasing outright or trade in.

And at the very very end I show my GM points.
