Seriously guys and gals. This is one of the best mods I've done. The price of this harness is nothing for a professional plug and play factory harness! Get them while you still can! Edited by Alexantics

Which door cover is held on by adhesive?

The black plastic moisture cover that covers the hole openings in each door. As shown in his photo. It has an adhesive around the edges. You'll need to pull it up halfway to remove the harness in its entirety.

Do anyone know if this can be installed in a 2016 WT 2500hd,it doesn't have any options on the mirrors. I'm not afraid to do the wiring in my truck (I do all the wiring on aircraft) but if there's a easier option out there even better. If anyone know where I can find the wiring schematics for this truck also will be appreciated.

Thanks

Can you take a picture of the connector in the door hinge? If you remove the X500 Connector housing, stick your phone in there and snap a photo. I should be able to determine a lot from it.

This is a photo of the LT trim connector on the body side.

This is the Door side connector removed. fdd042c307daa5d5c9a039fada75e7cf.jpg

Also - The GMUpfitter manual was really helpful. There are 3 connectors in the door harness you want to be looking at. X500 (Starts @ Page 1521), X505 (Starts @ Page 1526), and the X510 (Starts @ Page 1533).

For the Passenger side, they are X600, X605, and X610 respectively. Starts at Pages 1536.

SWEET DEAL! PGAMBOA is the KING OF PLUG AND PLAY WIRING HARNESS FOR THE DL8 TO DL3 CONVERSION! Absolutely flawless execution of oem look and custom wiring. I did this conversion myself on a 2008, which is totally different, but I'm telling you that the research alone is what he charges. Not to mention the task of pinning and unpinning in the connectors. WAY TO PGAMBOA ! He is the #1 source for a custom wiring harness for late model GM trucks. THANKS AGAIN PGAMBOA!

I 100% agree! The plug and play harness made the conversion so frigging easy. I love the DL3 mirrors and can not thank Pgamboa enough for the excellent work on the harness's.

PGAMBOA really makes a very very simple plug and play harness for the dl8 to dl3 conversion to make turn signals and puddle lamps, and power option function properly. He takes all of the brainwork and finishing touches out of the job and does exactly what he says"plug and :play". I'd put his work and attention to detail up against any aftermarket or OEM eletrical engineer in the industry

so now if i wanted to upgrade from regular old LT mirrors with only power adjust to power fold with turn signal etc ... its as simple as getting the harness from pgamboa and hooking it up to the new mirrors.

i wont need anything else or have to do any work besides taking the door panels off?

The only other thing you'll need for auto fold is a new mirror switch. Part # Gm23154702. I just did mine today and am loving having turn signals back. Take door panels and old mirrors off, fish old harness out, then fish new one in. 1st one takes some time, but second goes by much faster. Pgamboa did an excellent job on the harnesses. You'd be hard pressed to tell these apart from actual OEM harnesses.

PGamboa, you are the man! Paying all this money for a truck and not having the blinkers in the mirrors drove me nuts after buy the mirrors and switch with the mirror fold. Was losing my mind on what had to be done to get the blinkers and puddles lights to work..

Then the gm guru himself came threw with his knowledge and made it all possible ! Plug and play at its finest. Without you man I would of never got these things working you made this all possible, and am beyond greatfull !

If anyone seriously wants to make this conversion possible PGamboa and his harnesses is the guy to get in touch with.

I will hopefully be getting you more business from new York man once people get a load of these things.

Thank you again !!
