2003 HD 2500 Crew Cab

Recommended Posts

On the way home from work I’ve seen this guy who has a very nice 2003 (on plates) HD 2500 Crew Cab (4x4 maybe). I would have love to had purchased one last year but to rich for my blood. Anyway he was headed the same way as me & he was a few cars in front. I couldn’t help but notice that every time he accelerated from dead stop a large puff of white/gray smoke came out if his exhaust? We were on surface streets and I was behind him for a couple of miles. Then when he would really get on it the puff got bigger and bigger. I though maybe it was a diesel but when I finally go along side of him there were no diesel stickers and his engine didn’t make the loud diesel noise. Is that normal for the HD’s? :fume:

No that is not normal. My uncle bought a Duramax right when they were released. His blew out white smoke and kicked hard the day after he bought it. To make a long story short, he leamon lawed the truck and now drives a 2002 1500 ext. cab Z71. I cannot think off what might cause the problem. Especially since the truck your talking about is gas powered. That guy could have also taken the Duramax stickers off, unlikely though. It could be a fuel injector problem, they could be spraying gas everywhere. :fume:
