2016 GMC 2500 VS / compared to 2002 Model

Recommended Posts

Sorry I do not write as clearly as I can speak it!!

A little back story. Just replaced our 02 GMC 2500HD gasser after 200K plus miles. Started with truck throwing grease down one side of truck due to excessive assembly grease per dealer. Looked like when you way over grease trailer hubs and it flies everywhere. Related to following problem I would not think so since on wrong side of vehicle. Then the truck had a very annoying fairly radical pull to one side at slow speeds under light brake pressure like a caliper locking up or one side releasing or ?????. After multiple hair pulling visits to dealer including one where they reversed the pull somehow, resurfaced brand new rotors with 1500 miles on them and a new alignment and reflashing all brake controllers/computers. Problem is now mild, much more intermittent , usually only when cold or first starting off in morning or after not using brakes for a while.Seems to be always to left. Grease issue was on right side so assuming unrelated issue and flying grease is no longer a problem. Any thoughts?

Other issue or question truck has a mild or minor but annoying buzz in gas pedal in particular and seems to have a much more pronounced "road noise or vibration" than the 12 year old truck. On the rare occasion I am a passenger at high way speeds on a fairly smooth freeway seems more pronounced on right side. On fresh pavement on interstate in the 65-75 MPH range my old truck is pretty smooth new one is just enough to be annoying. I know it is a 3/4 ton truck and the ride is what it is and bumps and potholes the ride is what I expect. I have read about the vibration issues and it does not seem to be as bad as other people have reported but 14 years later kind of expected a better ride!
