Denali cluster in SLT

I have quotes from Rachel @ Specmo ($425 +17 shipping. new, not refurb, in stock) and Greg @ Pace Performance ($450+15 shipping. new, has to order) for part# 84380242. My problem is I can't  verify with WAMS that this part number matches my vin. I have emailed  twice a week or so ago (1 outside of business hours and one within) and as yet no response. Anyone know if WAMS is on vacation or are they just that busy?

Make sure to check your junk email folder. That’s where the responses from WAMS went for me. Once I marked not junk all was good. They responded next business day for me.

Got the Denali cluster installed from WAMS. 

 

Any others notice their Trips are reset, mpg reset, and engine hours and idle hours are reset.  Apparently these are stored in the cluster. 

 

Odometer miles are correct.

 

I reenabled all the info pages 12/12. 

 

Cant remember if SLT cluster had gallons used? Maybe that’s just a diesel thing since I don’t see it in Denali gas cluster.

Will add HUD once someone has a clean mounting method for HUD in upper dash and the cables required to connect.

A few observations: NAV display seems smaller on Denali cluster than orig slt cluster. It may be Same size as slt cluster. Just seems like GM could have better used the space.  

 

The extra gauges that come on with tow haul button are nice. Wish GM made a way to show this all the time. You can use standard display mode to display the 4 gauges - T/H swaps bolts for trans temp. The other display themes: media and technology only show engine temp and fuel. With T/H you get oil pressure and trans temp. 

 

On the technology and media theme the upper display only shows “I” for info “?” for audio etc. 

 

 

 

 

Overall this is an awesome mod.

 

If there was a Denali max tow I would have bought it.

 

Now I have a max tow slt with Denali cluster :-)

 

yes its a pricy mod but great it actually an option. I look at it every time I drive the truck ;-)

I have a 2014 High country and don't have this screen option in my dash. I would like to get this displayed screen, I don't want the denali version as I like te non digitalneedles. is there a part number that has this option? GMC version is preffered, but I will take the Silverado as well. Any help is appreciated. thanks.

It can be done, you will need a Denali cluster from a 2014. It will have red back lighting though.

My engine hours, idle hours didn't transfer either when I did the swap.  As for NAV, I don't think the SLT cluster showed the map on the DIC unless it was new on the 2018's. Do you have any pictures?

When on the speed screen. Right arrow then select speed limit. If you don’t see that then go to options and add the speed screen.

Don’t have a pic but remember I could display info, audio and nav on 2018 slt cluster.

On my SLT it showed nav directions but on my Denali cluster it shows the actual map which is kinda cool. As for the other info pages, you might have them not active so they don't show.  Check under settings and activate them.

I have both enabled. I have no right arrow on the speed screen or the speed limit screen.

Hmmm, I guess that wasn’t added until later years? My salesman pointed it out how to enable. The 4x4 screen wasn’t on by default but I found it in the info page settings.
