What the crap?

So it's a rung down from the Tuskegee experiments, and the Army's bizarre super soldier drug experiments, etc but this is still jacked up. The government was either hiring or creating psychopaths in the process. Taxpayer funded?

Dr Jenn Berman, psychotherapist, states:

The intentional, organized and long-term abuse of animals by NIH researchers is a troubling sign that the people conducting these experiments are potentially suffering from a serious psychological disorder. Indeed, one of NIHs own surveys assessing symptoms of antisocial personality disorder includes the question In your ENTIRE life, did you EVER hurt or be cruel to an animal or pet on purpose? Certainly, NIH experimenters would have to check this box.

Such callous attitudes and behaviour are tremendously unsettlingparticularly in light of a growing body of research that identifies the association between cruelty to animals and mental illness as well as the link between a history of animal abuse and concurrent or subsequent human-directed violence. Just because this abusive behaviour is occurring in a laboratory and cloaked in science is no reason to discount its gravity.

A word of advice if you don't mind.. when it comes to PETA.. take what you read or hear from them with a grain of salt. They do help animals in some cases, but go way waaaaaaaay way overboard more often than not and will twist stories to their favor.

This isn't a pro PETA post. I literally posted it minutes after eating spiced sausage "hot dogs". (I pondered the irony when typing it)

If you didn't read the whole thing, I suggest you do. The US Government paid the protege who was involved one of the most famous animal torture stories(newborn monkeys, shortly after they were born) to continue it, and the guy admitted the "science" would produce virtually no usable results.

That isn't a good omen.
