MPG??!!

I'm getting 15.7mpg on my 2003 CC 1500HD 6.0L, which is pretty dang good. Thus is after changing all the fluids in my truck and getting all maintenance updated.

I added a BB tune, Specter CAI, Royal Purple motor oil, replaced AC Delco fuel pump, NGK plugs with MSD wires, Monroe gas shocks, 3" leveling kit.

When I add my electric fans and dual in/out magnaflow muffler will I get even better MPG if I keep my foot out of it??? I also wanna replace ignition coils with MSD street fire.

Maybe a tiny bit better mileage with the fans and muffler, a touch better if you retune it for the muffler, probably not even noticeable though.

Whatever you do, don't mess with the coils, that's asking for ignition problems. Won't help any with performance either.

Removing the level is the best bet for mileage. 3" is a little extreme for suspension angles anyway, at 3" you have virtually no droop left.

bumping up coil challenges bat negative..

and when the big battery need charging, you will notice fuel drop.

I kept a 96 to 600cca as a challenge. Impressive. That is import subcompact sizing there.

Even my 1.8 liter hot rod subaru needs 750-850 just to keep the msd6530 running.

All else is a cool list. I would hope its noticable.

So no go on the coils. Def to much to spend anyway. My PCM is programmed for fans but it needs to be reprogrammed for exhaust install??

To do list:

-Electric fans

-145A alternator w/ new belt

-Dual Magnaflow with 4x18" tips

-Compcam camshaft swap - reprogram PCM

-285/75r16 A/T tires

-2010 16" factory 2500 wheels custom painted.

-Custom fit seat covers - camp

-Ranch hand back bumper replacement

Any other ideas @kstruckcountry????

I wouldn't say it needs to be, you'll just get a touch more out of it maybe. I'd finish with everything first as far as cam or tires before the retune. Going to larger tires and cam you definitely won't see a mileage increase. You're doing very well on the mileage front as it sits.

Depends on what you want out of it... personally, I prefer smooth running and don't really rev it to the moon. But there are a lot of different grinds to choose from.
