Well it would seem that way wouldnt it :D

140 hp 450 lbs the thing really moves. On asphalt if it is set up correctly it can and will do low 10's at 120 ish

I get my track next week so I will let you know

It's hard to believe but I have seen it done (video I downloaded). The sparks off the skie thingies is pretty cool too.

Enlighten those of us that live in "snow challenged" areas. Is the F7 "the one to have"

It looks like there may be a little bias toward it! :flag:

F7 was a big seller.. But it had a good nickname to go with it.. Fizzle cat... Dam things kept blowing up around here in the Northeast... I know a guy from online that blew his up after only 6 miles....

I ride a Yamaha SxViper... I will post pics soon...

I would love to be on one of the new Rx1's... Sick little sled... Twin turbos and your pushing 300hp out of a sled.. Like to see that thing on a lake... Nothing would touch it...

Well the issue with the firecats was mostly user error. To get 140 hp out of a 700 the cylinder would have to be really tight. Most owners would warm the sleds up for 5 min and think that that was good enough and just cruise for a few miles. The way the f7 motor was designed...it needs to be really warm, meaning the tstat should be open before riding. My dealer explained this to all of his customers and did not have one melt down. The report from arctic cat stated that they had a 1% cylinder melt down. 160 sleds out of 16000

I would like to see them but turbos in the rx1. not likely from the factory tho

There is very good talk about it coming maybe next year... It is coming.. EFI is for sure coming very soon on the RX1...

As for the firecat from what I was told by the dealer that works on my sled(also artic dealer) is that there as air problem... Not that people where not letting them warm up... The trick was getting ALL the air out of the coolant system... They had to bleed the system a special way to get it out... They had 2 come back totally burnt down... They were also giving away oil for some reason about having to pre-mix some more with the gas as the oil pump was having problems... I am not totally sure on that read that some where...

Sweet looking sled the F7 thou... I will stick with Yamaha thou...

yup most of that is true...to be honest ac didnt know what the problem was so they tried everything. bleeding the coolant, smart valves, oil pump adj, fuel pump, and pre mix. It wasnt until the race team started researching it that they found the true issue.

As far as the rx1...I raced a few on the lake and it look a long time to pass me at top end but when he did he walked by. My gps said 118 and he must have been going 125  the turbo would rock but its too heavy already

Glad they finally found out what was wrong with the sled... Or rather the people riding them... As for top end on the speedo I have heard 130+ for a Rx1 but the speedo is never right... The problem with the twin turbo that give 300hp is that you need race fuel to run it... Kinda hard to findt that on the trail.

Geez i didnt thinkfire cats were that popular. I have a 2001 Arctic cat ZL 800. Ill post pics when i get my camera back. As for turbos Arctic cat has them on their new sabercats like 110 hp or sumthin. I think they kept the weight reasonable too.
