Any tuning will affect what is covered. Its up to the dealer to decide what's covered at that point. I just feel that the new truck revs so much slower. Need to see what I can do without affecting my warranty so much. My 02 Silverado I only had an exhaust and Volant airintake with Justins tuning from Blackbear. It was a noticeable improvement. Also on the highway I was able to get 19.1mpg with the old 5.3 That's pretty dam good as my friends stock 03 5,3 gets at best 17 and is the same chassis configuration. Which is what I used t get before all the other additions and tuning.

All tuning methods void your powertrain warranty should you destroy something expensive.

 

Which is a good reason to use blackbear if you want to tune your truck.

 

You should be on the fence of whether you want to tune it, not who you want to tune it

That question is subjective.

 

If you ask me, no they are not the best but it's because I've learned to do this myself. If you have no wish to learn it, they are a good option.

 

Otherwise finding a local tuner that does it on the side or going to a performance shop near you that specializes in LS/LT based vehicles would be your best bet. How much you pay for a service like this will vary a lot too.
