Continuous Parking Sensor Beep

Recommended Posts

Hey guys - I've had this happen twice now and am curious if I'm the only one.

2015 Denali HD....twice I've started the truck in the garage and put into reverse with the normal truck reaction ... starts to beep parking notice cause I'm close to the garage wall. However, when I back out of the garage the constant beep continues and won't stop until I put the truck in park, shut it off AND open the door. This something anybody has heard of happening? Not too worried about it, just odd.

Thanks,

-Derrick

Well working at a GM dealer all the new vehicles have sensors in the bumper which i'm highly guessing that's what you have due to your concern. Do you have a service light on when you back up because those sensors are known to go out they are warrantied only if the dealer does it and i'm not saying that's the cause but it could be a possibility.

When I have started my truck already close to something a few times I have noticed it upsets the park assist and it shuts down with a "service park assist" message. When I restart it's fine. Seems a bit buggy apparently.

My 15.5 did that and the dealer ended up replacing the vibrating motor in the seat.

Interesting. I have the vibrating seat and mine is also a 2015.5. I do not have the vibrating seat turned on, just the beep. How'd the dealer diagnose the seat?

Dealer hooked scanner up and was able to pull a code.
