AirLift for the HD

Recommended Posts

Im looking into the Airlift (superduty)for the rear of the HD. And wondering if anybody has run or know's anybody with one? Did it make a difference towing and in ride?

Thanks

I've got the SD setup in my truck. Works as advertised.

Money well spent. Got rid of the sag and the diving I'd get when cruising down the interstate. Rides much better when loaded- not as "soggy" as it was without the bags. Unloaded ride is unaffected when the air pressure is at 5 PSI.

I have a set on my 03 2500HD D/A LB Ext Cab as well as a set on a 2K 2500 Silverado. I have a 9 1/2 ft Lance camper that weighs in at about 3000 lbs loaded. With 35 psi the truck is level, and the ride is great. If you routinely tow or have a camper I would also recommend a set of Rancho 9000s.

I think both trucks ride better than new with the shocks. I also keep about 10psi in the Airlifts; seems to add a bit of stability when the truck is empty.

They're pretty easy to install, took me about an hour and a half on my '03. Just make sure everything is in alignment before you tighten up the mounts. Also make sure that you use individual air lines to the Airlifts.

I have air springs on my HD and love it! Also have in-cab control. System uses all electric controls (no air in cab), digital gauge for tank and bag pressure. Sure beats airing the system up with a tire chuck!
