2016 2500 Silverado welded oilpan

Hi Everyone , I just spent $50,000 for a 2500hd 2016 6.0 Silverado .Couldn't find one issue with this truck , until I layed down and looked at the oil pan .The back side of the pan has a 3 inch aluminum weld running horizontal . Don't you think this pan should of been scraped .Pretty bad for Quality control coming from GM .Thanks for any thoughts on This issue

Normal. Won't affect anything. They've been like that since 2007. If I am not mistaken, I believe they are cast pans vs. welded.

 

BTW, there is an HD section on this site.
