My weekend project

This weekend I finally got the chance to really detail my g/f's bug. Took over 6 hours and a half bottle of Cruzan Rum.

Started with a wash with dish detergent, then a quick clay bar rub followed by: 3M rubbing compound, 3M Swirl mark remover & 2 coats of 3M wax.

I can honestly say that pictures do not do justice of how well it turned out. I wish I had "before" photos. The paint was VERY scratched up from her parents lane covered with bushes and had years of dirt embedded in the paint.

Looks almost new again. I cant wait to do this process on my truck!!!

Looks good. I like the 3M products alot also. The Swirl mark remover and wax do a great job. My truck is going to need some of that too after last weekends off-roading adventure through the desert...have nice long, but light scratches from bushes along my truck. But that will have to wait until sometime like September. It is already 105+ here and I ain't gettting up at 5 to wash my truck to escape the sunlight and heat.
