15' Sierra Crew door handle parts

Recommended Posts

Ok guys I was going to replace the door handles in my 2015 Sierra Crew Cab. I bought it used and it's an SLT. Previous owner switched the chrome to white and I wanted to go back chrome. After getting the front two done, I went to start on the rear. Both plugs were missing first off, and also the torque screws had been replaced with a damn sheet rock screw. "PISSED"!! Apparently the previous person backed them out to far and decided to just use any screw he could find. O, and the rubber seal that goes between the handle and door is missing. Does anyone know of the part numbers and do you know where to order online?

(2) oem rear door handle screws

(2) black plugs

(2) rubber seals that go between handle and door.

Thanks for the help everyone!!

Well I've got a little information from local gm dealer.

The black plugs are 13500936 $6.40

The rubber seal/gasket is 13578681

They are telling me that the handle base/bracket contains the screw and nut needed for assembly. $30 a side is expensive for a nut and bolt. Looks like part #'s 13592466 (L) and 13592465 ®

If you pull that door panel the inner nut they lost will be in the bottom of the door panel.

The bolt wasn't their either.

Well here is the mysterious nut and bolt for the door handle. The new parts that came in had an extra set that I don't need. You still have to pull the door panel to instal these. But have have extra if anyone is interested.

  • 2 years later...

I just ran into the same situation, except I was the one to back out the screw... the nut inside also fell and now I'm SOL. How difficult is it to remove the door panel and replace? I've been looking for videos, but haven't been able to find any.

Thanks!
