Anyone get excited to carry a large payload in the pickup bed?

For some reason every time my pickup bed is full or has a large box of some sort, it kind of puts a smile on my face. I feel like I am doing something right lol. The other day was a large grill, today was a large box for a shed.....etc.

Am I alone on this one? lol

I don't carry much heavy stuff in my '06 Sierra 1/2 ton with the canopy on it, but I just KNOW the truck likes it when it has a mission. I've been renting 6x12 U-haul trailers to move my stuff into the new house and it loves pulling things.

Of course, the time I carried 2240 pounds of top-soil in the 1990 Toyota was a lot of fun (I think I still have the scale receipt somewhere).

Alright, alright let's not start something we're not going to finish here, folks. Calm down. Take cold showers (yes, Sarah I know that doesn't work for women.) :ughdance:

I felt that way when I was 17 and put a suzue tractor with the bucket hanging over the cab.

faded away. :dunno:

I won't admit that was almost 30 years ago.

I did grow up with trucking..

when 350 cummins was hauling 60 foot bouncing bridge beams on a stretch/split.

all with backbreaking leaf springs.

No fun to push boundaries.

I am glad to see the weight gains even for the 1999+ half tons.

the right direction.

I had a chance once to pick up a couch from IKEA.

Not even close to what you guys are hauling :) .

BUT, to make it sweet for me...right next to us was a couple trying to strap a lazy chair to the roof of their Subaru station wagon.

And to his disgrace she said something along the line: "I wish that we'd have a truck too".

You should have seen the look on his face...lol.

And I said to me wife: "See, I told 'ya."

so long
