How should my transmission shift

I guess I got the 4L60E..

 

the guy has paperwork saying it just got rebuilt (the transmission) and that it did the following since:

 

 

1st gear to 2nd gear bumps pretty good. Not much slip between gears.

 

2nd to 3rd does like a soft soft bump. Not much slip there but definetly more than 1st to 2nd on the slippage.

 

Finally.. On my now burnt S-10 with the 4L60E I noticed that the 1st to 2nd started getting really hard on the shifts and also that the transmission would try and stop itself if I put it into 1st gear.

 

** I mean I could actually almost stop the vehicle in 1 rather than OD or D. I would like take off and it would have a drag like if I was holding the brake and when it would slow down enough it will stop fast. **

 

This truck does it a tiny tiny bit when I put it into 1 rather than D or OD.. I am thinking it is normal though but the S-10 wasn't.

 

I need some expert advise.. because the warranty is almost up on this trans. and if it isn't supposed to shift like this - 1st to 2nd.. or not idle/roll as fast in 1st rather than D or OD.. than I need to get it checked out before the Warr. is up.
