Bushwhacker Bedrail Protectors?

Recommended Posts

Are your folks gonna have a liner installed ?

On my 03 farm rig they sprayed the liner over the rail it looks good and clean

If not i would say try to convince them to get some stainless or diamond plate ones the would look great against the black :chevy:

I bought a set of their black diamond pattern vinyl bedrail caps for my ZR2, but I didn't like the way they looked so I never used them. On the S-10, the Bushwhacker extended too far over the rail for my personal taste. They fit okay and others might like the 'look' but I didn't care for it.

K1500,

We are looking at those, but they are hard to find (at least around here).

Chances are the truck will get a liner, but we may get diamond plate caps for it.

Planned mods are...

Lund Lunar visor

Bed liner (not decided on drop in vs. spray in)

K&N air filter

Toolbox

and maybe...

JET chip

Bugflector

Eagle wheels

Fabtech 2.5" lift

Yes, I know it is a Ford, I just don't feel like going to the Ranger forum now, I am having too much fun with the new design. :chevy:

Hmmm....thanks for the input...looks like we will probably avoid those.

I bought a set of Bushwacker one too, before I got my GM ones. They were a hard plastic and felt very brittle to me. I got the ones that had the cut outs for the stake holes, and on one side the holes didn't line up with the stake pocket holes on the bed. One was more than half the size of the hole off centered. I sent them back and got a refund.

I seen that a few pwople that installed them had a problem with them staying on after a little while. Seems the double sided tape they use didn't work too well. My GM one are held on by the goo 3M tape, the Bushwackers used that white double sided tape you would find at Wal-Mart.

I have the Bushwacker ridgebacks installed on mine. They have the holes for the stake pockets. The fit is pretty good and I like the looks, but the tape has begun to come loose. I'll probably get some stake pocket anchors to help hold down the bed rail.
