Black Rims?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone!

I am very new to this fourm but I have been browsing for a long time. I figured I would sign up and post a question I have about my truck. I didn't see anything on this subject at all.

I will upload pics of my GMC when its not raining outside. (Currently is)

Anyways when I wash my truck and get to the rims after wash them they look nice but when they dry they have what looks like some kinda white streak on them like I did not wash them completely or its a soap streak. I rinse them thoroughly and use Maguire's gold class wash and a microfiber mitt.

The rims I have are these

they are gloss black? I think. I googled what to clean black rims with and I have not found anything. Looking for some answers on here?

Thanks a lot!

I use the armor all extreme wheel and tire shine and I've never had any issues!

I have factory gloss black rims and use the same car wash you use. After washing, I dry them and do a Maguire's quick detail spray and they really shine great.

Armor all extreme wheel and tire shine? Is that the spray foam ?

You also just mentioned you use Maguire's - after washing with soap and water what do you use to keep them from streaking and looking black?

I have a 6' lift so its hard for me to use tire shine because it slings all up the truck.
