So I have had my truck since I first bought it in 2014 and I have been a member here since then. I decided I would like to catalog what I do with my truck. I have to say this is my first truck so I don't have anything to compare to it, but I love this truck and it has been great.

So I had to take my truck into a Friend's friend shop because i wanted the scratch on the back door on the driver side fixed. It was scratched from a hit and I couldn't take it anymore and I needed to just get it fixed. While there I had them install the AMP power steps. I love the steps and how they come down and when they are folded up underneath it makes the truck look cleaner.

I also had the power lock installed for the tailgate. Now it opens and closes with my door. The only regret is that it is very loud. I might look into putting some sound deadening material in there to muffle it a bit.

Overall, I like the new look.

looking good - looks much better with the amp steps!

Thank you , I think so too! I now have to decide if i want to just level it or do a 4 inch lift. But I think i will wait till next year. Till then there are a few smaller things I would like to do. Extend the lighting in the bed and also add lighting into the engine bay.

I added some lights in the engine bay. It was a set of 10 pods for motorcycles that I used that I got from ebay. It looks good and works well for my needs. I just need to further bolt it down and cover the exposed ends. I hide the switch underneath to keep the engine bay looking as "clean" as possible.

Lights look great! I've been planning to do the same thing with some leftover led strips I have.

It sounds like you wired in an actual switch? Or did you just use a pin switch that activates when you open the hood?

Can't believe these truck come without underhood lights....

I bought a kit that had the switch included and all the parts just connected together. No need to do wiring.

I got the motorcycle 10 pod led kit from here.

But you really can get almost any set to work the way you want. I ordered the bed light set too as it comes with a switch and a 15 minute timer.

So just an update. I spent this afternoon installing the curt 55384 T-Connector so I could have an extra 4 pin trailer connector. Which i used to connect a 60" truck tailgate light bar. I couldn't finish the install because i didn't have any wire splicers ( i must have lost the few I did). So I had to order them on amazon.

While I couldn't finish wiring them, I figure why not install the xkglow truck bed lights as well and leave them ready to be spliced in when I do get the wire splicers. So the reason I removed the others one and installed that set was because of its slim line button and the fact it has a 15 min timer on it for shut off. I was originally going to wire them all the way to the battery, i decided not to because my frame still needs to be fixed by GM for the rusting issue. So i will splice them into the 7pin harness as I do believe there is a constant power on those.

I have wednesday off, so i hope to be able to finish it then and take pictures to post.

So I finally finished installing my truck bed lights and they came out well. A little dark in the center of the bed but I think I need to angle the lights or move them to the side of the bed instead of where they are located now. I linked them to the 7 pin constant power source.

I also installed the tailgate light strip. It's pretty bright. post-127913-146462901054_thumb.jpgpost-127913-146462901881_thumb.jpg

I decided to do some wraps of carbon fiber. First time I did it. Looks good. Slowly getting the hang of it.

how did you wrap the console lid cover tray? did it somehow pop off and you wrapped it? is it a one or two piece wrap job? that looks good and I want to do the same since I just did the cup holder and the chrome trim on the cubby hole....

Once you remove that tray liner, it exposes 4 screws and it easily pops off.

A word of warning, you need some kind of glue to keep the wrap on the inner corners down. Mine are slowly lifting up.
