Moving 2 DFW Area this weekend

Just as the title says I am moving to the DFW area this weekend for a new job. Was hoping locals could answer a couple quick questions.

 

What are some good off-road shops?

 

What GMC and Chevrolet dealerships should I use for servicing?

 

Any area's I should avoid looking for an apartment (I will be working in Carrollton which is just north of Dallas and west of Plano)?
