New OPT7 H11 LED Headlight Bulbs

Recommended Posts

I got the Opt7 Fog Light bulbs today, still waiting on the headlights. The photos below are with my Phillips Headlights and the Opt7 LED FOGs.

My impression; they are definitely LED color but as far as light throw. I think more than anything, they throw light in a huge freaking circle. I was lighting up trees over roof of my truck when flipping them on and off. They definitely DO NOT over power halogen headlights bulbs. I always noticed that my halogen fogs would add additional light low and to sides--these definitely do sides but can't tell much on bottom. I'll have to further see after I get the LEDs in for headlights. I also had heck of time snapping the LED in, I thought it didn't fit at first. I had to press real hard--must be that weird 5202 socket.

From your picture, they are definitely BRIGHT. What is the bulb size you ordered?

5202 is the fog light bulb.

I think I paid $30 on Amazon for it.

Is there any way to "aim" them? or are you just stuck with the factory setting?

Nope, they go in one way.

I don't know about headlights. Don't have them yet.

I just got headlights today and put them in. They definitely do not throw like HIDs but they're nicer than stock!

Geswek, tried looking but haven't found it. Do you have projectors or reflectors?

I need to check my projector aim--I think my headlights are way too low which is why I feel like these are useless compared to my original halogen bulbs.

Will report back later tonight when I make changes.

Ok so I made adjustment. The photo below is split. The left photo is the halogen bulbs and right is Opt7 headlights and fog lights. On the right I turned the headlights up (2) screw turns.

I installed the Opt7 H11's today. I may turn them up a turn or two also. I'm not convinced they are actually any brighter than halogen, but the color is definitely white. As compared to the halogens, which are yellow. Halogens tend to make the truck look old!

Fogs are next. Not sure about high beams. I rarely use them.

EDIT: I did have to use the Polarity Flip Adapters, but not the ECM Capacitors. Same for yours?

Yep, had to use polarity switch but no ECM harness.

What was orientation on your bulbs? It looks like on mine the black cable coming out of the LED was at 6 o clock position which should put the LEDs on left and right.

I got their fogs too, don't notice anything at all with them. I cant even tell they are on like when I had halogens in.

My bulbs are oriented same as yours. I think I'm going to get the Alla Lighting LED Fogs. They're rated 4.5 stars on user reviews and the Opt7's are 3.5. Several people with Silverado's rated them a 5.

Are the fogs pretty easy to install?

Did you do the high beams also?
