What the maintenance protocol with vinyl? Just wash like its any other part of the truck? If I'm applying wax do I need to worry about it at all on the vinyl?

If it's gloss vinyl then you can apply wax or sealant. Just don't glass/ceramic coat it. There's very few products than can be used with vinyl if you want a coating. AMMO reflex is the best. It's flexible. Wash normally and what not. Also keep in mind wraps should not be polished or abraded so no cleaner waxes or all in one finish products. Just pure wax or sealant. You may use IPA to spot clean. No solvents, oil based cleaners, or engine degreasers.

Would the silver color GMC uses be hard to match? I was thinking of having the chrome painted the silver color unless you guys think the black (like what surrounds the grille) would be a better match?

3M makes an exact color Match vinyl to the silver ice metallic color called gloss white aluminum

How is this holding up? I want to get this done. This place has a shop right by my house in Glenview.

Good so far. The front bumper has a few rock chips but thats to be expected with anything unless you clear bra it. The back is doing great.

$250 for both bumpers is not bad. Did you get the grill wrapped as well?

No I bought a factory white grill. They might be able to wrap the surround but I doubt anyone can wrap the smaller rectangles

So I was quoted $1000 to pull off/paint my front and rear bumpers, and chrome grille surround in sonoma red. According to this thread, that seems like a really high price....thoughts? Thank you!

That is high! For sure, high! But there is a bit of prep to scuff them properly, otherwise paint won't adhere. It's worth having it done right, still say that price is too high.
