Color match bumpers...on 14-15 Sierra/Silverado

Recommended Posts

I was at my local dealer this morning looking to swap out my chrome bumpers on my Sierra with the color match bumpers like on the Denali All-Terrain or High Country ....well they told me that it was going to be $1029 for the front bumper alone ...and on top of that I would have to get it painted and use the chrome sensors that I currently have now (so they wouldn't match if I didn't buy the color match sensors as well)also I was told that the bumpers are metal not plastic...my question to the Denali, All-Terrain and High County owners is this true true ?? Or are the bumpers plastic like I originally thought??...and if there are metal...could I just get my chrome bumpers sand blasted and painted ..??

My bumpers are metal. Just vinyl wrap them. Fraction of the cost and not to difficult to do.

i was wondering about that to ...is it a noticeable difference in the paint vs the vinyl ??

Sand blasting was the way to go for me. Have not had an issue since doing it. Looks very good also

you have to look for a powder coating place near you. I'm in Austin tx so I found one with good reviews and went with it. They did a very good job with it. It's powder coated with what they call "wet black". They don't have paint codes like a body paint shop

http://m.austinpowdercoating.com/?url=http://www%2eaustinpowdercoating%2ecom%2f#2870 check it out man. The thing that's the hardest is removing bumper and not having your truck for a few days. But it's worth it
