What's wrong with this forum?

Recommended Posts

I'm very aware that there are more forum members interested in off-road antics and lifting their trucks than making them street machines, but there has to be more street guys than this on this board.

I personally have no interest in taking my $40,000+ vehicle thrashing through the wilderness (although it is fun in other people's vehicles).

Aren't there more members who post/lurk here that are interested in modifying their vehicles for street use?

I'm here looking for info, and I know many others are also.  I post my opinions and experiences relating to my GM vehicle, but I'll readily admit, I don't have many.  I have only owned my Yukon for a couple of months, and haven't done much to it yet... but, I will.

...just trying to foster the sharing of info specifically related to this specific board.

i'm with you on this axxlrod. seems like no one ever gives you a response unless your talking about towing or jacking it up. i, on the other hand, am going for lower 1/4 mile times. it would be nice if people threw out some more responses to some posts.

Most of the time when a question is asked it is a newbie thinking about lowering his ride.

Most of us that are into street trucks don't have to ask questions because we have either done it before or have researched everything on our own.

There also aren't many of us on here that are interested in sport trucks. Many of the natives aren't the best at excepting others opinions when it comes to sport trucks, so few stick around long.

LarryE's sig says it best. "I would rather be hated for being low than loved for being high."

I'm into the sprot truck field also. Granted my truck is a Z71, and I don't have that high of an income since I am in school now, I am planning on throwing some mods to it when I graduate. But I'm not lowering this one, obviously! But anything in particular you're looking for, or just more ST peeps?

The guys really never did advertise to the street crowd... why would a bunch of street guys want to come here when theres so many lifted guys, and alot that hate street trucks (not everyone luckily) but there is some that think lowering has to do with rice

I've been here since 2001 and have grown to know the guys and how they are so thats why I stick around

Lowered is not exactly my cup of joe. I like mine more at stock height but that's because I tow with it and I drive down rutted two-track roads for fly fishing and trap shooting. However, I do think that some of the trucks I've seen lowered look really nice. I really like the idea of making our trucks quick in the 1/4 mile. There should be enough room in the world for bone stock, lowered and lifted.

Well said, Mike :smash:

I too, am in to sport trucks. As a matter of fact, I am in the process right now of deciding which set of shackles to use to lower the rear of my truck to get a level stock look. On the other hand, if I had a 4x4 I would want to lift it! I guess you could say I'm into customizing in general! Lifted or lowered, each custom truck shows the owner's time, hard work and money!

I posted a topic here about a week ago and got plenty of responses! :smash:

I guess it's all just what you're into. To quote 96Z71Asskicker -

"LIFT IT OR SLAM IT, JUST DON'T LEAVE IT STOCK!"
