2016 GMC 3500 Denali Diesel SRW Vibration at 72-78 MPH

Recommended Posts

I had a 2015 GMC 3500 Denali Diesel SRW that had a vibration at low RPM's ~750-1000, after a month of the dealer taking pico-vibration meter readings GM concluded the vibration was in the engine and did a buyback that took another month. The whole debacle was from December 8, 2015 to February 15, 2016.

I just picked up my new 2016 GMC 3500 Denali Diesel SRW and was on the highway and noticed a vibration at 72 MPH and at 75 MPH you could feel it in the seats and steering wheel. I did notice that the tach was at 1750 RPM's and I was in sixth gear. I don't notice the vibration in any other gears at 1750 RPM so I'm hoping that it's not the engine.

I’m bringing it to a dealer on Monday 2/28/16

Anyone else have any vibrations like I'm describing in their new vehicle?

Had it in my 2015.5 2500 Denali w/ Duramax. Replaced the stock Goodyear SR-A's tires with Duratracs and the ride is significantly improved. No more high speed vibration.

Problem Solved ! Went to dealer and had tires Road Force Balanced, three out of the four tires were out of spec.....One tire measured 65#. Dealer replaced all four tires, trucks smooth as silk now.

Thanks for all the suggestions!
