I'm sorry GM

Well for the last week i have been driving a 2014 F150 loaded up truck, 5.0 motor,

I am sorry, the headlights are great, the radio works great with no hd drop outs, the transmission is silky smooth, I really like the floor console with shifter, I mean Really Really like it, the heated seats take about 1 minute to warm up, remote start or cold start, the cab is definitely way more roomy, I mean I'm sorry i really like it, its a fully loaded FX4, the cooper tires are great in the snow as well, I think the fuel mileage is slightly better, the exhaust is quiet when driving but if get on it its just loud enough as well,

All I can say is its a good thing Ford really uglied up the 15 body, or I may consider a switch, I really wish it was summer so I cold strap my 10000 pd boat to it so i can compare towing,

The bad, well I pulled out of driveway the other day in the poring rain and water poured in the cab, ah well even ford has issues LMAO

with that said my 14 Is still 10x better looking, but my truck just spent 3 days at the dealer for the "latest and greatest" update and the radio is worse, and now the bluetooth is totally worthless, I have another week of driving this Ford so :o)

On you GM truck, the headlights are sub par, the radio has hd drop outs, the transmission is rough and jerky, no shifter on the floor console, the heated seats take over a minute to warm up on remote start or cold start, the cab is not that roomy, the tires are not that good in snow, the fuel mileage is ok, and the exhaust is not that loud when you get on it. But it's a good thing your truck looks 10x better than the Ford, priceless. :smoker:

Funny how people are different. My father in-law has a new f-150 and loves my new GMC sle DC. So much he is considering getting rid of his getting one. He loves how smooth and quit it is. So maybe you should go get one if you think that are so great. Buddy of mine bought one (f-150) about 3 months ago and its been at the dealer for the last month waiting on a part. Hey you know what they say....built Ford tough...NOT.

My uncle drove nothing but fords and looked at both the 15 f150 and 15 Silverado and walked out with the Silverado due to looks and reliability. He did say the ford drove better. We are both happy as hell with our 15 Silverados. I had a brand new 2013 f150 xlt ecoboost with the chrome package. It was a good looking truck. It drove good and the ecoboost is really an ecobeast waiting to be unleashed. They are unreal if you tune them. I sold it because it just wasn't a Chevy. I didn't feel like I was as comfortable in it as I was a Silverado. I ended up getting a 14 Silverado and sold it about 6 months later because I was offered a lot and back in college. Bought a 09 tundra 4x4 after that. It was fun to drive. The transmission shifted very smooth but would slip on cold mornings when first driving. It was a beast though. I paid on it a year and went back to a 15 Silverado. I just straight up have confidence in this truck that I didn't have in my tundra or f150. I intend on keeping it a loooooonnnngggg time. Silverados are the most reliable truck made in my opinion.

I haven't had any mechanical issues, just all the bs stuff that is starting to add up, my truck is still more comfy. But maybe I say that cause im used to it. Driving I'd say there about the same, f150 doesn't turn as good but he has a longer box then me, so that's probably why,

Thing that bothers me is the mileage is the same, maybe a hair better, but no v4/v8 bs shudder

I have to mention due to another thread it does tell u on das 4x4/4x2 lmao

I test drove a new f150 rcsb with the 5.0 . It does growl more when you get into it and believe it may pull harder than 5.3 eco tec. Belive salesman said it was 380 hp. Between that and obvious weight advantage it is a strong little package. That said ford is far from issue free tho too.

My ecoboost would tick occasionally when idling in park. If you type f150 5.0 engine in Google it gets finished with the word problems. If you type f150 3.5 ecoboost it gets finished with problems. Ford has nicer interior according to most which is opinion. I do love my jet black cloth. I have never been a leather person. I would say Chevy is more comfortable. Fords engines have a lot of issues though. They have balls and try to new things and I love that. I love that they have a billion different trims and bring new looks and things to the table a lot. Chevy is starting to do that also which doesn't matter to me because I can't afford a Ltz anyway and even if I could I don't need to want that. My ecoboost didnt get better gas mileage. If I babied my ecoboost I would get around 20ish maybe a lil over stock. I had to keep it out of boost to do that. That is slow easy driving. It was hard to do. If I drove it like I did my Silverado my mileage would most definitely be worse. That thing was fast stock though and would tow really good. I just didn't have confidence in that truck.

Ford doesn't have a significant weight advantage over GM. The aluminum weight savings is a half truth at best. Fords have been the fat kid on the market since 2004. Now they're just comparable to GM trucks or just barely lighter.

That said I still do like them, the 5.0 seems like a good engine.

The aluminum F-150 is definitely my next pickup, but that'll be years from now.
