GM Truck diecast/models

Picked up this little guy on Monday at work; but I have noticed a pattern on GM Truck models: they will make C/K/GMT400 models and Early GMT800 models and K2 models, but I have NEVER seen any GMT900 models! Anyone know why?

They did make an SS model. So the 800 had one that was 03 or later

Will the die cast model gmt900 dent as easily? lol

the GMT800s you always see are the 99-04 models, and never the 05-07 models. (although after a google search, they DID make an Avalanche Diecast model)

Well, I picked up an SSR model kit from work last week, and I just finished painting the LM4 Gen III V8 it has. I couldn't resist taking this picture:

A Model Gen III powertrain sitting on top of a REAL Gen IV powertrain! (Although if I remember correctly, the SSR uses the 4L60-E 4 speed automatic, which just so happens to be the same transmission that our truck has installed!)
