Rhett Jones -My LTZ Build - slow but steady

Rhett Jones

Recommended Posts

Just thought I'd start a thread of my truck's slow progress. I'm not planning anything too wild, mainly things that would or, in my opinion, at least should be offered from the factory. Anyway, here's a few pics from the day I brought her home to now.

So far I've added the following:

High Country grille

Spray-in bedliner

GM underseat storage

Console organizer

Chrome grille bowtie

First Pic

HC Grille

bedliner

Underseat Storage

Front Seats

Rear Seat

High Country Grille

Few things I have planned:

Some form of stainless catback exhaust (can't decide how aggressive I want to go just yet) - looking at the Force II and the MBRP 3" single exit systems, as well as the Magnaflow single exit kit.

Airaid intake tube with dry high flow filter in stock air box

Husky X-Act front and rear floor liners

Either a front or rear leveling kit - love the look of the truck sitting up higher but don't want to hurt mpg too much. So far my best 25-mile average is 25.2 mpg

Terra Grapplers, Cooper Zeon LTZ, or BFG AT KO

Roll-n-lock or Revolver X2 - considering a hard cover but really like the flexibility of the retractable covers

Pop and lock tailgate power lock kit

Experimenting with Photoshop, thinking I might do an inverse of what is normally seen on aftermarket black bowties. Think it gives it some contrast without looking overly gaudy - what do you all think?

Sweet idea on the inverse plasti dip in the front man. Love that. When I start to dabble in plasti dipped things this is going to be one I'll try. I have the emblem that isn't chromed looking, but I'll share pics when I finally get around to it. Thanks for sharing!
