NFab Offroad LightBar

Recommended Posts

I am in need of some help,

I just recently purchased the N FAB off-road light bar similar to what is seen in this link.

http://www.autoaccessoriesgarage.com/img/group/main/41/4183_3_lg.jpg

I tried to install it last night and ran into some problems, I was able to get the tow hook bolts out without many problems but trying to get them back into the frame holes with the new bar is almost impossible. It doesn't make sense to remove the bumper because the bumper has to sit behind the bar, the problem is the bumper supports are in the way so bad you cant get the 5inch bolt into the hole without it going in on an angle which does not work obviously

Does anyone have suggestions or ideas? Because I'm really stuck/frustrated

looks good. Is that the new style - upper loop ? So how much drilling did you do , maybe photo's

I do like the look with the upper loop and not just the straight-across bar.

Looks to be the "lightbar" mount:

Please don't forget to turn that off in town and around traffic. I was blinded last night by a truck with one of those things on it. Couldn't even see the edge of the road. I think they should be banned.

I am not for banning them, but understand your point of view. Ridiculous amount of people blinding me and I assume others lately.

I'm not sure if its a new design but I prefer the upper bar, it kind of protects the lights a little bit better and I dont think it looks as odd as just the flat bar.

After a lot of trial and error this bar can be installed without drilling and without removing your front bumper. There are 2 bolts on either tow hook and the drivers side is was does all the work really of not allowing the bar to move. You have the front bolts which hold the bar into the frame nicely, then the 2nd bolt (rear one) on the drivers side is what keeps the bar from tilting up and down. In the box NFab supplied 1 bolt with washers and a lock nut, you can install this on the passenger side if you wish to have a bolt go through tow hook frame rail and the bars bracket. But I have found the 3 stock bolts already in place do the job well.

I do not drive with all the lights on, only the outer ones which are SAE approved fogs from Rigid. The center lights are 10° amber duallys and are really more for fog, snow, heavy rain, or smoke. Those will truly blind people since they are such a narrow beam, the outside lights are aimed down and have a pretty sharp cutoff to reduce glare into oncoming traffic.

Here are the fogs I have, take a look here for pictures of the cutoff
