Hi Everyone,

Looking to wrap the bumpers on my 2015 RCSB W/T. The front bumper seems pretty straight forward, but the rear looks a bit tedious from looking underneath.

I'd like to wrap the bumpers on the truck if possible, and my question is can I remove the rear bumper plastic trim without removing the bumper from the truck?

It looks like a challenge to remove the trim without breaking all of the tabs.

Any assistance with this is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

You know I had to have the dealer replace my plastic trim as it was scratched when I picked it up New. We know one of the service techs at the dealer, if i remeber correctly, he said he had to remove the bumper. It was something like a 4hr warranty job. I believe he did it in 2.5hrs

I know it can be removed and re-installed... I replaced my rear bumper from a parking lot ding that just drove me nuts. The bumper I picked up was from a 2500 series and the black plastic was different from the 1500.

Body shop guy was able to reuse it... I had the trim for the 2500 in my barn, and it looks very usable.

No you can't remove it without taking the bumper off. I've removed numerous ones for powdercoat, you have to remove the bumper... It's a compete pain in the @$$

What do you do to the bumper before its powder coated? Just scuff it up or blast all the chrome off?
