sswalker
I hope this is a good place for this post and someone will be able to point me in the right direction. My uncle had a 68 Dodge Charger a long time ago. He loved the car and always talks about it, but you know how it goes when kids come along. Now that he is older and has extra money, he would love to get the car back if he could find it. I have the VIN for the car, but I have never tried to locate a car before and have no idea where to start. I've found a couple websites that I can buy vehicle history reports from that say they have records of the car(vehiclehistory.gov and carhistory.us.org), but just not sure they will provide any useful information. Can anyone give me some information on how to go about looking for this vehicle if it is actually still in 1 piece? Any information is appreciated. Thank you. hotrodz37
Hey Scott, Pretty cool if he wound up being able to find it! Here's a decent article to go off of. Definitely going to be a lot of work but might be worth it in the end if its still kicking! http://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/2014/04/10/how-can-i-find-my-old-car/
sswalker
Thank you for the info. Sounds like a needle in a hay stack. I need to get some more info from my uncle about the car. It was before my time. So I don't know much about it other than he really liked it.
