Greg the leg
I saw 125 mph on the dyno, lol! With my Denali 6.2. In what gear, I'm not sure... Carl turned off the limiter.
Carl T
Carl it looks like the wonders of Josh and Zane got you on the pay-for-play. Congrats on being a vendor. They did, I am a truck fan and have been for a long time. I currently own a 05 2500hd with a Maggie (shop truck) and built a really fun leveled, turbo, 00 Silvy (DSLEATR). I have been looking at doing a nasty little 14/15 RCSB so I have been lurking on the site for a while. Summer is crazy busy but now I have a little more time to reconnect! I've seen 3 different people post their *stock* CC 4wd 6.2L running 13.6 - 13.7. That .2 -.3 faster than my RCSB 5.3L E85, LT & tuned. These GenV trucks get it on. ^^This, these high torque DI motors are perfect for trucks, really impressed with the performance! I saw 125 mph on the dyno, lol! With my Denali 6.2. In what gear, I'm not sure... Carl turned off the limiter. 5th gear, limiter is not turned of, just raised to a non-intrusive level!

benjaminforeal
It's fun to go down the track in anything with balls. I'm itchin to bring mine... but the governor has been holding me back. I will have to tune it to increase the cutoff in order for me to even make a full pass. 92mph cutoff sucks! Probably some tires as well as there's now way it will hook with just 2wd. Trucks have come a long way though! SBC's have come a long way!! 92 mph cut off!? Dang.. I found out mine was limited at 99 mph on the interstate last weekend. I'm surprised to hear the Sierra would have different cut-off.

Maybe one other on this board. I love rarity.

Both truck are tuned now so their foot determines cut off Edited December 3, 2015 by sprayed99

It is something only in the 14's and it's ones with the Max tow 6.2 from what I've seen. Which wasn't available to Denali. Who knows.. This guy is all stock accept a bed rug and tonneau cover, lol. Be sure to run thru whole post. He keeps getting faster. Prolly due to colder weather. http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/177154-2015-silverado-goes-1397/

It is still slow in my eyes, but to each their own. The car I'm toying with now should run a 8.99 or faster this weekend... Fingers crossed.

Sure 13's aren't fast for typical gearhead, but running some 13's in a 5500lb stock brick and get 20+mpg is impressive to me! Good luck with that 8sec beast!
Sooperdave
Damn, here's another 6.2 in the 70's. Stock 15 Denali 4x4. http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/179382-new-personal-best-2015-sierra-62/
8secpumpgasdad
I have seen numbers like that out of very lightly modded 6.2L trucks but not from factory stock trucks. I'm the guy with the highly modified 6.2( pace edwards tanneau cover and bedrug ) that runs 13's and yes, I think under the right conditions all the new 6.2 8 speeds will run the same. My cut off is 98 mph which limits my et also. The reason I say that is my friends 6.2 8 speed yukon denalli was running 14.0's the same night I ran 13.8's and on a cooler day i ran 13.7's which should of put him in the 13's if he would of ran the same day. His is unmodified also.

SMiller
Bone stock brand new '14 6.2 6-speed 3.42 4x4 double cab, I let off at 111mph, don't know where the limit was. Edited December 5, 2015 by SMiller
bigsapper
13 sec is typical 60s era muscle car territory. For a stock 6000 lb truck, that's getting it.
