Those are awesome gains. You more than doubled both HP and TQ gains over the stock E85 gains. Very nice job Carl T. rawyzf you are gonna have so much fun driving that truck. I'm very interested in what your mpg end up being on E85. Keep us posted.

Just finished my first tank of E85. MPG hand calculated was 12.1. This was mostly city driving and some hard acceleration as was I was enjoying and seeing how the truck felt with the new power.

 

I will report back on tank 2. I'm brining my folks to the airport tonight/tomorrow leaving around 3 am and should get a good idea of what true highway mpgs would be then.

 

Carl did a great job, truck feels amazing and shifts so much better.

130 mile round trip at 65-75mph 12.9 MPG. (E85)

That's not too bad with all that extra power. According to my mileage spreadsheet back in July/Aug when I was using E85 and AFM off (with Diablo tune) 8 tankfulls I averaged 13.7. My next 3 tankfulls with AFM back on I avg 14.7.

Good to know, thanks! I'm gonna run a few tanks of E85 and then run a few 91 and see how I'm sitting.

 

I was just under 17 previously running 91 oct, no tune, but no AFM still.

If dyno'd on a 4wd dyno then yes you'd probably be right. But a 4wd K2XX on the dyno in 2wd loses about 17-20%. My 6.2 100% stock dyno'd at 350/380 on a 70 degree day.

 

This is correct, we have been looking into ways to "best" convert them over. With the OP's truck we installed factory lines from the tank to the engine. The problem is that there are at least 4 different line sets and they can be a nightmare to find the proper part numbers (they are different for crew, xtended, and RC trucks. What we have been doing is installing a fuel comp sensor about 10" further back than the o.e. sensor would be installed. It does require cutting the line and running a jumper harness from the stock harness to the sensor. I will post a few pics when I get a chance. It is a very clean and simple way to do it since it works on all trucks.

Carl do you know the correct part number for the fuel lines on a double cab?

Thanks, is the fuel line from the sensor to the fuel tank different as well depending on bed configuration? Also, in a previous post by Rawyzf he said you had to mess with the fuels. What did he mean by that? Did you have to do anything special to them such as use an adapter or did he just mean you needed the correct fuel lines?

It appears that all trucks run the same fuel lines to sensor. The line that is different is the long one to the engine. Not sure what you are referring to messing with the fuels. We did need to run part of the stock front line and part of the replacement?

I am happy with our most recent kits and the way the that work on ALL trucks/suvs. Here is one we did today that I snapped a few pics of.
