Clearing bigger tires

Recommended Posts

Just got my 15 GMC Sierra all terrain a few weeks ago and looking to put some better tires on her. What size lift would I need to clear 305/55/20, not looking to go too big or small on the lift, just enough to clear the tires. Also, what brands of lifts to go with or to stay away from. Putting the tires on the stock rims that are the multi spoke machined aluminum with painted inserts.

Thanks for the input!

Cant really say what brands to stay away from, but i love my motofab level and my nitto terra grappler g2s. As far as that tire size, its aprox 33.3" which is basically what my 285 50 22s equal out to be. Ive got a 2" level but had very minimal rubbing on my fender liners which i cured using zip ties. Not close to rubbing structural stuff ie: sway bars etc. But keep in mind my wheel offset us +18 and my tire is a tad narrower being a 285. To be sure thats not an issue id say go with a 2.5 level. But u can get away with a 2" and some ingenuity
