That would be entertaining, for sure, but didn't they try to take down Wall Street and didn't succeed? Or at least that's what the media said....didn't feel like the whole story was ever known publicly. I remember there was. "Glitch" around that time with the market or something like that.

Read this morning that the French confirmed that the person who orchestrated the Paris attacks was killed in a raid.

 

Their PM wasn't kidding when he said they would be swift and merciless when going after them. It was less than a week after the attacks and they had already identified, tracked and killed him. That's efficiency.

Ok, they just released video of the shootout with police.

 

7 or 8 French police in riot gear are standing on a street corner. When the gunman opened fire, ONLY ONE stayed to fight. The other high tailed it like no other.

 

Stereotype, anyone?

 

I have seen video of shootouts in America too often. Never seen a bunch of American cops scatter like that before.

Something else to be thankful for this next holiday.

 

Hopefully this is not too soon, and no real disrespect to the french police. My brother is living in Paris so I'd like to see NO gendarmes running away from a fight. But what is it that Top Gear always calls the French? "Cheese eating surrender monkeys?"

 

Seriously though, France has a very bad ass (small) army whose only job is to fight France's foreign (desert) wars. Most who have seen or met them or trained with them call them stone cold killers who would never consider a discharge. I'm talking about The French Foreign Legion. If I were the French President, I'd start those guys in the direction of whoever needed the first ass whipping with only one condition - no prisoners!
