K&N Filter

mine already had one in it when i bought it---i like it very much----i get 17.5 mpg  to 20.5 mpg all the time--just depends on my right foot :crazy:    saves on buying filters all the time--no hassel what so ever :thumb:  :thumb:

I've had them on my past two cars and will definitely put one on my new GMC.  I can notice a better throttle response and like the fact that they're reusable.

 

As for cleaning them, just pull it out and look at it every few months.  When it starts to get dirty, go for it...

 

FYI - It usually takes  few hrs to let the oil soak in when you clean it, so keep your old filter handy so you don't loose the use of your truck.

Installed a K&N over the weekend.  I can tell a difference in the take off throttle response and on the highway.  Jury is still out on any increased fuel economy.  I will check with the next tankful!!  Thanks for all of the replies to the posting.
