THE BEST GEAR?

Recommended Posts

I have a 2006 Chevrolet 1500 with 35" tires I am looking to change gear size and put in a different stall. What is the best one for me ? I am not going to be doing that much towing but I do wont a gear that's going to give me a edge out on the highway even with the 35s. I like the 373 and the 2000 stall but its nothing when you have 35s . so what is the best one for me?

If the 3:73's feel sluggish, then it won't be worth the cost to just go to a 4:10. I'd say 4:56 would be a nice improvement, and will make your 4-speed a lot happier when cruising down the highway. If you do a lot of rural driving or towing, you could even consider 4:88's.
