I'm new here so I shall update you all on my build.

I bought it stock beginning of March.

First thing I did was get new fog lights. Me and a buddy custom made these in his garage.

The same place I bought the LED cubes I also bought a 50" light bar.

After that it was onto a K&N Cold Air Intake along with a GoRecon Tailgate Bar. The camera couldn't capture the leds very well that's why they look so spotty.

I later went on to applying the ALL ON mod. And removing the light bar.

After I got all the little things out of the way I went on to install a Mcgaughys 7-9" Lift with the add-a-leaf for a full 9" look. And for wheels and tires I went with 22x12 American Force Blades wrapped in 35x12.50x22 Toyo Open Country MTs.

After the lift I went on to tint my windows. 15% on the rear driver and passenger along with the back glass. And 25% on the front. And 45% on the whole shield. And also applying a huge Razorback on the back glass.

I work in the oilfield and my company bought me a 9" B&W drop hitch.

I just recently plasti-dipped my front and rear bowties black.

In process I also have color matched Mirrors on the list as well as color matched headlights and tail lights on the way.

But in the mean time while you wait.. Here are some pictures I have thus far.

Nice Build! Just curious, what made you get rid of the Light bar, I've been thinking about getting, one and just wondering if it was wind noise, or just didn't need it.

It all depends on the mounts you get. I had the Rough Country door mounts. They're the main reason I removed it. They break the seal of the door and cab allowing weather to get in, including rain. Also the light bar made a terrible whistle. And on top of all that when I turned it on at night the majority of light hit my hood and blinded me. So I just cut my losses and took it off.

That's super clean. Are your forces the polished aluminum or actual chrome? Mine are the polished aluminum and I can't get them to shine like they did from day one. So I'm thinking about powder coating them black.

They're the polished, I've heard a lot of people talk about being able to keep them clean but I just put them on a couple weeks ago and have been out of town so I haven't experienced it yet

Truck looks really good! I do however suggest you remove the U of Arkansas decal replace it with the U of Alabama decal.

On a serious note you mentioned you're having a problem keeping the wheels finish like new. Are machine polishing them? If not try that and also make sure to use some sort of sealer or wax. Then after every wash wax them to build up a nice barrier.

When it comes to polishing and waxing I'm not that good. I can wire and install things no problem. But car detailing is not me. Lol. Plus I've always liked the look of black powder coated forces. So I may just go that route. But the next major thing I'll spend hundreds on is a regear. My transmission doesn't really like me right now. Haha.

Also I work in Texas so I gotta rep the natural state any way I can. Lol.

  • 2 months later...

Here's an update. I recently got color matched bumpers and blacked out wheels, all powder coated. Also went ahead and got nfab step bars installed. And I almost forgot.. 4.10 gears are in and make a BIG difference.

truck looks beautiful - how pricey were the 4.10s to put in? I'm considering doing that at the same time I lift the truck and put on 35s....
