Long Time Chevy Owner - New Factory Order Z71 & Build Thread

Have been on the forums for a couple months now and glad I was able to learn so much about these trucks, so first off THANK YOU. To each is own on what you prefer but for me the subtle changes like some color matching, debadging, etc. really set off a truck and separates you from the rest. I posted a couple pictures of my old 2003 in the bottom of this, looking forward to working on this new blank canvas lol

 

I ordered this truck from the factory July 1 and took delivery August 25. Got about 9k off the sticker including the 1500 private offer. What made this deal even sweeter was the warranty from the dealer: lifetime powertrain, with scheduled maintenance performed (documented). Options I got were All-Star package, Deep Ocean Blue paint, Z71 package, Bose, Integrated Trailer Brake Controller, Black interior, Bed rail lights, 5.3L, 3.42 gears, others should be obvious maybe in pictures. I'm really not a fan on the sliding back glass so didn't want to go with that package that also has the adjustable pedals and garage door buttons.

 

Mods:

-XPEL Ultimate clear bra protective film

-2nd set of factory bed rail lights

-JDM ASTAR 800 LEDs in cargo lights

-Husky floor mats (F- X-act, R- Weatherbeater extended under seats)

 

Near Future Mods:

-Linex

-Front tint

-Leveling kit

-1.25" body lift

-Rims/tires

Can see a slight line across the hood

 

2nd set of bed lights added up front, to factory installed ones

 

Bed lights w/ JDM ASTAR 800 cargo lights (NASCAR Richmond Race bound) *Bed lights are more white than they appear and I'd say they do match pretty close*

 

Only complaint about the Husky's but I think I am going to trim the piece hanging over Z71

 

Had it out on the beach in Outer Banks, North Carolina. Out with a couple of my buddy's Sierra's

 

Quick history, here is my old 2003 Z71. I did all the work myself (+ some buddies and beer every now and then) from bone stock in June 2008 to August 2015 with 186,xxx miles.

Good stuff man. Congrats on the truck. I am becoming obsessed with my new Chevy. Welcome to the forum; I've learned a TON here. There are a lot of good folks on this forum.

 

The articulation on that pathfinder is impressive.
