Haha, yeah, well I'm coming off a grey/silver/champagne color Tahoe... so it's a bit of a change in color. I just ride it dirty... it's a pickup truck after all, right?

I hear you on that. I'm not a Clean Freak, but can't stand the way black vehicles look when they are dirty, not to mention the paint swirls that show up after a while. Black cars always look the best of any color when they are clean, but only look that way for a day or two. My Harley is Vivid Black, but its much quicker to clean than a huge pickup. If I ever have the coin to snatch up an old Chevy C10 for a hot rod project, then Black will be the color, but it won't be a daily driver. More like a weekend warrior.

It is the swirls that bother me more than the dirt. I figure if I wash it in a touch free wash, I will greatly minimize the swirls. Luckily there is a new one at a BP station about 2 miles from my house that does a nice job. Black is the best when clean though until 3 hours later when the road dust, pollen, etc. lay a nice coating on it.

Totally do it. I havn't had a chance to go on any highway trips yet. All of my driving is in town for the most part and its a small town. i'll keep you updated. From what I have read from other peoples level kits they are experiencing on average 1mpg less. But I mean com'on, you bought a bada$$ full size truck. Who cares about the mpgs :) lol

So I just ordered the leveling kit! I'm excited... Also, what is the longest light bar I can fit behind grill? Has anyone even done this on a Z71 grill yet? I think I saw one.. Up to about 38" I think.

As for swirls.. Yeah, this is a lease, so I'm not exactly too worried.. however, I am certainly treating the truck like an absolute baby.

For a second I was having second thoughts.. thanks for that pic.. No more second thoughts. ;c) Notice any difference in MPGs?

I noticed about a 1mpg drop after installing my Readlift 2.25" on my Midnight Edition CC.

Meh, damn aerodynamics.

My next move is to get an LED light bar behind the grill. I've been looking at that thread, however my one question is.. I wonder if I can use one of those STOCK switch spots, under AC controls...? I think that would make for a really clean install.

Next, my old truck I put the HIDs in.. now is HID the way to go with these projectors.. or what about LED? I see the conversion kits out there, and I loved my HIDs in the old truck. Any guys have experience?
