My blown transmission.. opinions

So I blew my transmission it's a 4l60 with 138k on it...happened friday and this is the aftermath of what broke..it broke everything I didn't want it too...so now he's beefing it up with heavy-duty parts shift kit, some racing clutches etc.. So what he told me was it was gonna be almost similar to a 4l80..I'm paying $3600 which I thought was steep but I need it done..what are yalls opinions on the price??

only mod on my truck is a custom street tuned and it's a L76(6.0)

I destroyed the trans in my '07 Sierra.

Ended up with 3500 CAD.

It was severely damaged, but no snapped shaft though.

And it was rebuilt to manufacture specifications only. No beef-up.

Is it possible that the "custom street tune" had something to do with the transmission failure?

It definitely sounds like it should hold up if comparable to the 4L80, hopefully.

Not sure about the mentioned racing clutches, you may be better off with a standard heavier duty part. What brand of heavier duty parts are you having installed at $3,600?
