Even gives nods to americanmusclemans guy up there in Tulsa. (Ed Wright of fastchip.com)

You mean, Ed Wrong at slowchip?  Sorry, I as well as many people I know personally have had serious tuning problems with him.  After 4 attempts to tune my PCM, he still couldn't get it right despite numerous a-tap logs, dyno sheets, A/F readouts, etc, etc.  Then when you get him on the phone, he talks down to you.  So I took my business elsewhere.  Mind you, this was before LS1Edit was on the market, so there wasn't a lot of local choices for tuning available.  Only mail order.

As for the Blazer, kick arse!!

Awesome blazer!  I bet that truck moves with 10lbs of boost!

Like I've said before, I've had good luck with Ed.  He's dyno tuned my friends cars, and they love it.  For example, a friend with an 01' SS M6 with only a Thunder Racing 230/224 cam (and associated valvetrain), Mac midlength headers, catback and cold air... put down 397rwhp and 380rwtq with Ed's dyno tune (stock heads, and everything else stock).  I've known quite a few other guys who have had great success with his tuning as well, but its all been dyno tuned.

I've heard from other people that Ed's an A-hole, but the two times I've talked to him, he's been nice.

Sorry to hear about bad luck you've had CMNTMXR81

It wouldn't bother me if he were an A-hole is he'd have tuned it right!  :flag:

The difference between you and I is that you were obviously able to have him tune it on the dyno whereas mine was done via FedEx at $65 each time I sent the F*cking thing.  They called me once when they had an opening, but I just can't up and leave Chicago to head to Tulsa.

Now, the first time, I could excuse because it's a crapshoot and then you adjust from there.  But each time I sent it to him, I sent A-tap logs, dyno sheets, and A/F readings from the dyno's.  I didn't expect him to be perfect and right on the money, but pretty darn close.  Instead, he turned off my EGR, even though he asked me if I had an LS6 intake which at the time I DIDN'T.  So my car simply ran like chit around town and I was having major detonation from around 2,800 - 3,500rpm.  Enough so, it #### near shut the motor down.

So I went to Steve Cole at TTS.  Same info that I gave Ed, I gave Steve, he sent me his powerloader, and that's what I've had since.  His programming isn't a direct hit either for the same reasons Ed's wasn't expected to be, but even with his Mail order tuning, I still managed 398rwhp from my rather conservative setup (by today's standards for Heads and Cammed LS1's).  The only negative I have to say about Steve Cole is that he locked my PCM.  Meaning that we could not get into his program via LS1Edit to alter things last time I had it at Speed Inc. so I had to go get another PCM.

On May 5th, it will be on the dyno at Speed Inc. for tuning.  I know right now it's running too rich at WOT.  From about 5,000rpm up it was running in the 12.5 - 12.0 range when it should be in the 12.8 - 13.1 range.  I expect with this custom tuning, I should eclipse the 400 mark easily.

I can tell you about 5 people I know personally both with LT1's (which seemed to be Ed's strong point) as well as LS1's that have had terrible tuning with him.
