We have a new phone at work and it has a screen that tells you who's calling and their number.

 

I know it has been around for a while.

 

Now we are in California and today someone called and it said it was from Georgia. So I knew it was a sales call.

 

After saying Hello, they guy rambled off about what finance company he was with and wanted to know how much money we needed.

 

I told him $50.00.

 

The guy just hung up. LOL

Ha, that is awesome! Caller id is definitely helpful in the office. I automatically know which calls needs to be answered, and which ones need to be ignored. Ours are routed through our laptops, so we can still answer the office phone on the road........IF we remember to switch the microphone over to the computer. One time I was "trying" to listen to voicemails away from my desk, but they kept playing on my desk phone. Finally, someone from the office called me and "You need to stop....you obviously can't handle this new technology properly...."
