2-3 slip

Recommended Posts

when cold my 5.3 transmission slips when shifting 2-3 trans temp under 150 once it warms up it shifts fine, anyone else have this happen? just curious is this normal when cold rpm jumps like 700-1000.

Is this a slip that hangs around and gets a little worse as you apply more pedal or is it more of a flash that recovers quickly and is gone in about a second.

What you have is a flare shift and is common in these trucks. Most people don't notice it until after they put exhaust on.

It's just poor TCM programming, fortunately I can tune mine out.
