Top Bed tie downs?

Recommended Posts

We may be talking about different things. These ones do not go in stake pockets.

They fit in the holes covered by the removable oval plastic plugs in the box sides. There are 9 possible locations.

Cargo Tiedowns are covered page 4-3 and 4-4 of 2015 sierra OM.

Load rating is 250 lbs and there is a warning about box damage if overloaded.

True. The cargo tiedowns in the top sides of the bed are designed for light load ratings, because they are basically plug holes in sheet metal. I just use them with my cargo net when I'm covering boxes, lightweight materials, anything that could fly out. For heavy loads where I'm using ratchet straps I always use the 4 permanent bottom tiedowns.
