Timeshifting satellite radio

Recommended Posts

I just traded in a 2014 High Country for a 2015 Denali HD. The pause/rewind (timeshifting) feature doesnt work. It worked on my '14 but the dealer says i cant do that on my '15. Total BS! Is it me? Is it an actual problem with the radio? Is it that they deleted it on newer models? The buttons are lit up on the screen and light up when i touch them. But nothing. Anyone else running into this?

My 2014 won't pause/rewind anymore.  It has always had horrible playback after rewinding ever since the truck was new.  Now it won't pause or rewind.  It's very frustrating.  Does anyone have a fix for this?  Can it just be rebooted?

You are certainly not alone.  This time shift issue has been a major problem for GM and that is why it's been deleted in models after 2015.  Attached is a bulletin I received from my dealer.  Mine works fine when the truck is sitting still, at a stop light, in a parking lot or whatever, but when you try to use the time shift feature while driving, the music is all garbled and practically useless.  GM is aware of the issue and can't fix it and in some cases have offered a year of XM radio as compensation to owners....Which IMHO, is BS.  The Time shift issue is part of a high end luxury package that you have to purchase and therefore, costs consumers a lot of money.   GM should step up to the plate and make things right.   Very little attention to detail despite very high price tags and this is why companies like Tesla are gaining share fast.
