Stabilitrak, Power Steering, Gauges & Display Going Haywire

There is a post by JoeDD that is similar. The dealer replaced my whole fuse block and I haven't had a problem since then. Write up said nothing about grounding issue. I was pulling out of the bank parking lot with the check for the truck when it happened. Stabilitrack light flashed, all dash light flashed, truck stalled and I was close to getting t-boned when it happened. I was able to replicate by turning the wheel right and hitting the brake to make a turn around 10mph. They took my truck for 2 weeks. I told them I have a newborn and if someone hits my truck and this was the cause then they would have a major lawsuit on their hands. They checked everything over a few times, or so they said.

Was it the engine compartment fuse block they replaced? Thanks.

I know I’m probably jumping on this thread a tad late, but I’m experienceing ALOT of the same issues.

I own a 2012 Silverado 1500. I’ve noticed my headlights flickering whenever I hit the brakes and the radio stops for a quick second, but that happens on a good day.... there have been times I’ll be driving down the road 55+ and I’ll go to hit the brakes to slow down and the lights flicker, radio stops, bells chime, the doors unlock, RPMS drop to 0, and the lights on the dash go haywire.. this all happens in a split second and then it goes back to normal.

Its like the truck literally shuts off while driving down the road, there’s no way it’s normal..

Has there been a solution made for my problem?

I have a 2015 GMC Sierra that is doing the exact same thing!!!! Its driving me crazy, and of course it is out of warranty! HELP!!!!!!!

The stuff with the Stabilitrack/steering and stuff started in October and have been to a GMC dealer. Was told that they couldn't replicate the issue. Asked them, so what, here is the issue, here is the service bulletin so fix it. Don't just glaze at it, take it apart and fix it. The first dealer actually blew me off so now its to another. I also filed a complaint with GMC and actually got a claim number. I won't let anyone else drive the truck because the steering can be a pit. I drive the wife's car to do things.

had lots of suggestion to replace the battery even if it was only near the marginal line. Did that Saturday the 16th, another $200.00 bucks and nothing got remedied. So far out of pocket i'm looking at around $800.00. Truck is paid off so that's good. At my age (73) I thought I had bought my last truck. Looked a long time before I found this one. I guess I should have waited longer?

Check your battery terminals and grounds. My 2500 did this and it was just a loose terminal and I tightened up the ground on the frame. My truck would have all the electronics go haywire while driving, even the headlights cutting in and out at night. The dealer had me booked in A WEEK later, I said this is kind of a safety issue with the lights cutting out at night but that didn't help. Pulled it into my shop and found the issue pretty quick.

WIRING ABOVE SPARE TIRE RUBBING AGAINST METAL FLOOR PAN. CUTS INTO DATA LINE CAUSING THESE ISSUES. I HAVE A 15 YUKON,SAME AS ALL OF YOU,STEERING GOING OUT,RADIO GOES OUT,LAMPS FLICKER OR GO OUT FOR JUST 1-3 SECONDS. FIXED THE WIRING,ALL GOOD. HOPE THIS HELPS

I have a 2016 Tahoe doing same thing... spent 1000.00 so far and it’s still as bad as ever... steering problems, gages going nuts, service stabiltrac, service this , service that... no codes show on diagnostics...surely someone has figured this problem out

Has anyone found a solution to this problem? Because I'm experiencing the same issues and I got to say I'm reading all this comments and haven't seen one solution yet. I'm about to be taking mine to the dealer and any advice or solution would be great.

Took my 2019 savanna 3500 in to the local dealer for stabilitrak issues.

Diagnosis: replace transmission. Not under warranty. Asked how they came tjlo that conclusion, they said well it has 120k miles and it doesnt make any sense for us to diagnose a repair. I said "thanks" and moved along.
