but yes, the yakima's won't work with a tonneau. few options there. the idea that came out of that other thread was these that would work with some rolling or slider covers, not the folding one's though

would like to see peejaykay's as well!

if you wanted to go top of cab for some reason the yakima q-towers would work. some other rack threads

I don't like climbing up high enough to get at my roof so I bought a bed cover that will hold weight. This one is rated at 400#, but the mfgr makes one that has a 1600# rating. Pic is not good of the cover, but it is made of diamond plate aluminium. It has a fixed plate in the center of the box about 12-in wide and then the front and back and back panels lift up and are held in place by pneumatic struts. It has 8 HD tiedowns, a back window protector. This one is polished Al but you can all get it covered with a bed liner coating in black. Seals well. I did have to design and build some latch rollers so it would pull down and lock easier. I do carry stuff on top of it and have considered designing a rack that will go on it, but I am sure the company I got it from already has something. Diamondback covers is the company I got it from.

Yes, those roof baskets are great looking, especially when you forget they are up there and decide to pull the truck in the garage to do an oil change. Not that I have any experience in something like that. One thing you want to look at is what it takes to get it on and off if that is something you may need to do very often.

Uh oh. Doesn't sound good haha. Ive had roof racks on every car truck and suv I've had so I'm used to it. This one is going over the bed of the truck though. I got the bars attached and had to order the basket I wanted so hopefully its here and on by the end of the week. I already ran in to having to take the bars out. I thought it was going to give me more storage but only to stuff that is shorter then the bed height. Hopefully pictures coming soon!
