Sold the K2500

About a year and a half ago I sold my 2008 Sierra HD to buy a ring and pay for our wedding. So, for about a year I was driving a 1998 K2500 that I picked up for a pretty good deal, and it got me by for the time being. Now that the wife and I are two months past the wedding, and have our finances straightened out, with the new combined income we decided to sell the K2500 and go pick up a certified used half ton. I'm pumped! Going to test drive this tomorrow morning and hopefully take her home. http://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/detail/640395717/overview/#1

I have always wanted a truck with the Z71 appearance package and this fits all the credentials we wanted, under 30k miles, under $30k, and GM Certified. Wish us luck guys and gals! If we purchase it the only mods I plan on doing are a 2" level, window tint, a low profile toolbox, and tires when these wear out. Too many house projects to mod this truck way out.

Thanks guys, we ended up not buying the truck. Everything looked perfect and it drove great, then we parked it out in the sun during the test drive to look over the paint and body. The driver's side of the box was repainted. You could tell in the reflection that something was a miss and when I ran my hand down the bed in between the cab and the box I could feel over spray. So we passed on it right there and then.

We did however drive back to Indiana and my wife said let's stop at Wiers in Demotte. Glad she said that because we found one we loved, 2013 SIlverado LT with only 26K. Glad to be back in a GMT 900, I really love these trucks. Both our families have bought a lot from this dealership and I would recommend them to anyone. I'll get better pics as I get it cleaned up.

She's a keeper! The wife, I mean. You sold your truck for her ring....that's good on you. Now, she wants to make sure you have a nice truck you want/need.....that's good on her!

Truck looks great as well!

Yeah... I really wanted the WEA package but the next closest one with the miles and price we were looking for was 3 hours away. My wife didn't want to drive that far after what happened in MI and we needed to buy a truck this weekend. I was borrowing the farm truck which is needed on the farm, the wife went back to teach today, and we will be out of town the next three weekends. We needed one now. This one had great service records and was well taken care of so we went for it. The wife loved the color so that was a deciding factor too.

Haha thanks bud! I really lucked out with my wife, that is for sure. I actually was on the fence about a newer truck and she pushed me to look into it. The older I get the less money I want to spend but it is nice to be back in a truck that has warranty for several years again.

NOOOOOO! You traded in that supertitietastic 1998 K2500?!?!?! Why don't I live closer to Indiana?

Congrats though on the new truck!

Thanks bud! It was tough to let the K2500 go, but it went to a 20 year old kid that works on a farm. It has a good home now, he was soooooo happy to buy it and that made it ok for me.

This seems to be a current trend. My dad just bought a car from a guy who was selling so he could use the money for a ring.

Although I sold my 69 Camaro to lower my house payment and pay off my wifes student loans before we got married, so kinda been there
